Trust & Safety Policy – GigTaps

At GigTaps, our mission is to build a marketplace where businesses and freelancers connect with confidence. Trust and safety are at the core of everything we do. This policy explains how we protect our users, prevent abuse, and maintain a secure environment for all.


1. User Verification

  • All freelancers and clients must provide accurate personal or business information.

  • GigTaps may use email, phone, or ID verification to confirm authenticity.

  • Fake profiles, impersonation, or misrepresentation are strictly prohibited.


2. Safe Payments

  • Payments are processed securely through the GigTaps platform.

  • Clients must fund milestones before work begins.

  • Freelancers are only paid when work is approved, or after a successful dispute resolution.

  • GigTaps never asks for your passwords or private banking PINs.


3. Fair Work Practices

  • Clients must set clear project requirements.

  • Freelancers must deliver work that meets agreed standards.

  • Unreasonable demands, exploitation, or underpayment are not allowed.


4. Prohibited Conduct

The following are not tolerated on GigTaps:

  • Fraud, scams, or chargebacks.

  • Sharing or selling of private user data.

  • Hate speech, harassment, or discrimination.

  • Uploading harmful files, malware, or unsafe content.

  • Circumventing the platform (requesting payment outside GigTaps).


5. Confidentiality & Data Protection

  • All communication and project files remain confidential between clients and freelancers.

  • GigTaps complies with global data protection standards (including GDPR & NDPR where applicable).


6. Reporting & Enforcement

  • Users can report suspicious behavior directly through their dashboard.

  • GigTaps investigates all reports fairly and confidentially.

  • We may suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate our policies.


7. Dispute Resolution

  • If issues arise, users can rely on our Dispute Resolution Policy.

  • GigTaps acts as a neutral mediator to ensure fairness.


8. Commitment to Continuous Safety

  • We continuously update our systems to detect fraud, abuse, and security threats.

  • Educational resources are provided to help users stay safe while freelancing.
